Eliciting children’s ideas at home

During Covid-19 partial school closures, we are exploring different ways for children to explore and report what they already know about a topic. Jude Gardner’s Reception and Year 1 class (age 4-6) were asked to share what they knew about animals in hot and cold countries.  A template on the school’s Seesaw platform was provided, but they could also record their ideas in their own way. Some children drew their ideas, some used a Venn diagram, with support from parents, and others a table (with photos of their teddies!)
