During Covid-19 partial school closures, Felicity Price was doing some online work about tooth decay with her Year 4/5 (age 8-10) pupils. The children were shown a bar chart detailing the extent of tooth erosion caused by different drinks. They used this information to raise their own questions for further investigation (using egg shells to represent teeth).Ā They also explained why they wanted to investigate their question and what equipment they thought they would need. To aid engagement online and keep the focus on the science, the recording was kept simple.
