Donna Hanley asked her P7 (age 10-11) pupils to focus on presenting their findings during a topic on the solar system. The children chose one planet to research on the computer and made notes to inform their presentation. They were able to present in a variety of ways: fact file, powerpoints, scaled planet models and oral presentations.
From these presentations, Donna could assess their use of scientific language and the clarity of presentation, in whichever format they selected.
