The TAPS Focused Assessment approach proposes that pupil recording (e.g. annotating pictures, drawing tables, writing conclusions etc), should be based on the focus for the lesson. The TAPS examples of pupil work often have a skills focus (within a conceptual context), but there also examples where conceptual understanding is more the focus.
All of the work examples can be found under the Focused Assessment examples tab on the PSTT TAPS website. This database of examples can be filtered by topic and age group to help you find an example relevant to your context. Here is also a new hyperlinked mapping of these examples.
