The PLAN planning matrices were shared with all teaching staff during an INSET day (see weblink below). The PLAN resources provide a summary of key learning objectives for each unit in the English National Curriculum, together with a collection of one pupil’s work. The subject leader explained that these documents clearly show key learning for a child to be ‘secure’ in their topic. Teachers now plan with the matrices to ensure that outcomes evidence each child’s progress. At the end of term, outcomes were monitored and cross referenced to the planning matrices.
