Ballyclare Primary School trialled TAPS Focused Assessment plans in the and developed new TAPS-NI activities like Making butter and Shades of colour.

Based on the World Around Us curriculum for Northern Ireland, the school agreed on 7 skills for their science investigative work. The science skills were explicitly discussed in lessons and exemplified on classroom and corridor wall displays.

For example, children are encouraged to ask science questions which can be testes/investigated and use their 5 senses to observe.
