Quick start guide for TAPS focused assessment

The TAPS Focused Assessment approach supports teachers and pupils to focus on one part of an enquiry at a time, within the context of a whole investigation.

  • a quick start guide
  • a Working Scientifically Wheel which can be used in class to draw attention to the focused skill in each lesson. (Colouring or dating a section for each focused skill provides an opportunity to check that all of the skills are covered across the year.)
