TAPS NI – draft materials

The TAPS-NI project (2017-19) involved collaborative working with a range of schools in Northern Ireland through the PSTT Fellows, the PSTT Ballyclare cluster and the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM). In addition, TAPS-NI has worked with students and tutors at Stranmillis University using a co-teaching model.  The project aimed to support the teaching, learning and assessment of primary science within The World Around Us.  The TAPS Focused Assessment approach has been used to support teachers and pupils to focus on one part of an enquiry at a time, within the context of a whole investigation.

Outcomes from the project include a project booklet, a Science Skills Flower, examples of science skills and a range of focused skill activity plans (zip file below), all of which are available on the main TAPS website.

Teachers in Northern Ireland are continuing to trial and create new activities – do get in touch if you would like to contribute primary.science@bathspa.ac.uk.

Draft materials are listed below – all feedback welcome.
